Delegates at international conference tour Prague in footsteps of Jan Hus and Hussite revolution

2015 is the 600th anniversary of the martyr’s death of Master Jan Hus at the Council of Constance. Hus’ life and death sparked a reform movement in the Czech lands that preceded by a century the European Reformation, the initiators of which (led by Martin Luther) drew on his legacy.

The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren has declared 2015 the Year of Master Jan Hus. In that connection, an international theological conference was held in Prague on 9–12 April 2015, organised by the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren and the Protestant Theological Faculty of Charles University in cooperation with the Czechoslovak Hussite Church.

The conference included an accompanying programme in the form of Prague in the Footsteps of Jan Hus tours organised by our agency. Around 50 conference delegates took part in the tours, which took in places directly connected to Jan Hus, his predecessors and successors. Going by what the delegates said, they greatly enjoyed the tours with our guides:

John, Edinburgh, England
“Excellent! Well timed tour + good information”

Milosz, Warsaw, Poland
“Keep on serving info like that!”

John, Cairo, Egypt
“Excellent tour!”
